Abstract: Research indicates that engaging in regular exercise not only yields physical benefits for body but also exerts positive influence on people’s well-being–people devoting 2.5 to 7.5 hours on physical activity per week have better mental health in general (Kim et al., 2012). To be more specific, higher level of physical activity leads to higher sleeping quality, which is an important condition for normal physical function and stable emotional status (Li & Guo, 2023). Therefore, it is suggested to include regular physical exercise into modern lifestyle, because it can improve socialization, enhance academic performance, and increase productivity in workplace. One of the influences of engaging in physical activity on psychological wellness is to alleviate sleep problems such as insomnia. This study finds that more physical activity and better sleep quality lead to fewer negative feelings among adolescents.
