Abstract: This study examines the relationship between health education in school and presence of chronic illness as an adult. Chi-squared tests of significance and multiple linear regressions were used to examine an association between individuals who had less health education as a child and the development of chronic illness as an adult. These tests confirmed there is no significant relationship between variables. Multiple linear regressions found that attention paid in school, and income(low or normal) were not significant confounders in the relationship between health education and chronic illness. Further steps could be taken to examine the relationship between health education and obesity and general health.
