Abstract: This research study aims to explore the relationship between education and a person’s financial status. There are two main topics discussed in this study. Do levels of education have a significant impact on financial well-being, and do factors such as gender or race/ethnicity have any impact on the outcome? A large data set called the Financial Well-Being Survey was consulted and some interesting results came to light. Education does have a positive linear relationship with financial well-being. However, when controlling for gender, females were found to be stronger financially in the lesser levels of education. Additionally, Hispanics have the strongest financial well-being in the first level of education (high school dropout) by far.
