Abstract: This study investigates the relationship between socioeconomic status (SES), education levels, and opinions on stricter federal gun legislation in the United States. Survey data from American National Election Studies encompassing variables of socioeconomic class, levels of education, and opinions on federal gun legislation were analyzed using logistic regression and chi-squared tests. The results reveal significant associations between SES, education levels, and stricter opinions on gun legislation. These findings demonstrate an intricate interplay between socioeconomic status, education, and attitudes towards federal gun legislation and emphasize the need for nuanced policymaking and lobbying strategies that consider these demographic factors.
