This analysis investigates the relationship between self reported happiness and frequency of prayer. While past studies have shown some association between religion and happiness, it remains unclear what aspects of religion may play a larger role in affecting individual happiness. The goal of the present analysis is to establish the relationship between life satisfaction and religious practice, as measured by frequency of prayer. This study will analyze whether frequency of prayer has an effect on self-reported happiness, and therefore attempt to isolate specific aspects of religiosity that may have a significant association with happiness. The findings reveal a significant and positive association between frequency of prayer and self reported happiness.
